Vera too good for Makiri

Vera defeated Makiri 5-7 6-4 6-2 in the third round of Beijing. 

Maria fought until the last point but it wasn't enough. The match lasted nearly 2 hours and 40 minutes. 

Vera is playing splendid tennis this year and if she wins one more match she will reach her best ranking ever: 3rd in the world! 

In QF's she will face italian Francesca Schiavone - we can expect a really REALLY good match.
